To serve and assist in supervising food service personnel, with food production tasks as needed and assure that quality and cost standards are consistently attained
Duties and responsibilities
- Will be responsible for working the front line and the handling specific stations as assigned by the Executive Chef / Head Chef.
- Assist Executive Chef / Head Chef with ordering, scheduling and inventory, menu development including cost controls, recipes, food production schedules and production consistency.
- Ensure proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality
- To ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature.
- To ensure that regular on-the-job training is carried so that subordinate staff performs their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Observes workers engaged in preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods to ensure that methods of cooking and garnishing and sizes of portions are as prescribed.
- Responsible to implement and maintain all standards set forth by Management and establishes the manner and means to train personnel according to standards operating procedures.
- To ensure a safe and constant food production according to daily needs of our guests as well as company expectations.
- Oversee all back-of-house operations and be responsible for food production and overall supervision of kitchen activity
- Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment.
Education: Equivalent education preferred or diploma in professional cookery.
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience on a similar role.
- English and Arabic speaking preferably.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Able to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
